YOUNG AMERICANS

Who is ready to break out in 2011-12

49-RW-Rhett Rahkshani, 5-10, 170, R, 3/6/1988, Orange, CA
Put up 24-38-62 in 66 games in his 1st AHL season.  He skates very well and has
impressive offensive awareness.  Battling concussion symptoms, so that may set him
back.  But would look very good on Tavares' right wing with his shot and creativity.

If Okposo can stay healthy, this team has a pretty lethal top 6.  Rolston, Reasoner
and Pandolfo are excellent additions to the bottom 6.  They are all very
responsible and give depth to the special teams.  Expect Tavares to take a step
forward and become a domonant, 80-90 point player.  Moulson will benefit from
that, as well.  The 2nd line will mature and see their production rise, too.
Hamonic is maturing into a very solid blueliner.
Hopefully, Streit can stay healthy because his
puck-moving abilities are needed for the young forwards
to take the needed step forward.  Eaton is solid, and
Staios should help the penalty kill.
Montoya seized the opportunity last season
and earned the starting gig until he either
loses it or DiPietro proves healthy and
regains his status as a #1 keeper.  Nabokov
provides insurance and possible trade bait.
